Industrial Mechanical Estimator

Lee Mechanical Contractors, a company that has been performing excellent service and quality to our customers for nearly 40 years, is seeking a full-time Industrial Mechanical Estimator to join our growing workforce. The applicant should have great verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must also be well organized and detail oriented.

The position works from our head office and fabrication shop in Park Hills, Missouri

Job Summary

The estimator quotes installation, demo and modification of mechanical systems, piping systems, equipment removal and setting, and steel erection. Through firsthand experience envisions difficult installation scenarios and knows not everything quoted can be determined by formula.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Quantifies number of hours to complete job completion
• Determines installation schemes to establish project scheduling, crew sizes and duration of project
• Evaluates all contract documents including all bid drawings, specifications, general conditions and if necessary, the project site
• Determines scope of work for our trade and determines vague areas to qualify bids
• Posts bid negotiations with client and Lee Mechanical staff to determine final scopes of work and assigns values to items that may be revised or deleted
• Posts bid "value engineering" to help negotiate final contract with Lee Mechanical staff and client
• Occasionally travels to job sites for walk through meetings with the client
• Assists Project Management staff with pricing issues on major project revisions
• Maintain the Lee Mechanical Contractors' (LMC) reputation
• Other duties as assigned
